When I first started my business, I remember being so nervous for my first client that was someone that I didn’t know. And now here I am four years later and I’ve photographed their family every year. This summer I have had the pleasure of also getting to take both sides of the extended families photos! So if some of them look familiar, it’s because they should be by now 🙂 My favorite part was how connected the cousins were, two in particular. The littlest one was just so entertained by the oldest and she was so proud. Their interaction was amazing and I captured just a small bit of it.
I love how their little legs are matching…
This couple definitely shows me what a small world it is. I went to a small high school, which David also went to a few years after me. I went to a small college, which both David and Melissa went to a few years after me. One year difference and I probably would’ve been in the same place at the same time with one of them. So it was only fitting that we met to take these at St. Norbert. Had a great morning exploring all the new buildings on campus while getting to know them better. So excited for their big day next month!
And these next two just demonstrate how funny and witty I am 😉
Senior season is in full swing around here! Lucas is a very talented musician so we got to talk shop for most of the session, my kind of night – photos and music talk. Many more to come…
You’ve seen Tricia’s family and extended family on here many times before. Today I got to meet the other extended family and it was a treat! Just a few and many more to come 🙂
And have you seen a more proud little girl? She was so wonderful with her little brother and had a such a special connection with her cousin – it was magical, he was enthralled with her 🙂
And it was the first time I met this little man and he was so great. Notice who he’s smiling at…you can see her little hand in the bottom of the photo.
This little guy belongs to dear friends of mine and I am so happy it worked out for me to take them since they live almost four hours away from us. He was such a second child – just hanging out and sleeping amidst a few interruptions from my own child. I just love this family and am so happy for them to welcome Ewan into their adorable family – he fits right in 🙂
Check out his mohawk!!
And of course there are a few of Liam too – how can I resist?!?!
I’ve had the pleasure of taking this little guys pictures for the whole first year of his life! He is just so stinkin’ cute and has an infectious smile (which runs in the family 😉 ). He was a bit tuckered out because as most moms know, what one-year old actually takes his nap on his birthday with a house full of fun cousins and family to play with! But we managed to get some really great smiles before he let us know he’d had enough…
And then they took him upstairs to change him and he literally fell asleep before his t-shirt was off. If only he had fallen asleep like that during his three-month shoot!
I was so excited that I got to do senior photos for Erin. From what I hear she’s a genius piano player, a genius in the classroom, a great athlete, and a fantastic story-teller (I still can’t tell Goldilocks as good as her – just ask Maura!) When her session started, I accidentally said I thought she looked like Emma Thompson when I meant Emma Watson (Hermoine in Harry Potter) :-\ Luckily Erin also has a great sense of humor! Erin – here’s to a wonderful senior year for you. You are beautiful inside and out and I know we’ll hear big things coming from you in the future!
And then she threw on her soccer jersey and stared me down – and I kind of felt like I was in the Hunger Games staring at Katniss Everdeen.
The day of this shoot was beautiful in the morning and then I walked out of school to see looming rain clouds. We had already rescheduled once and she was coming from the Milwaukee Area, so I was so thankful that the clouds parted long enough for us to get a good couple of hours in. Jen is actually my nephew’s cousin and I’ve known her since she was a little baby, so it was such a treat for me to see what a beautiful person she’s grown up to be. Jen – here’s to a fabulous senior year for you, I know you will do well in all that you do! ❤, Amanda
