This has been the summer of extended family shoots (I think I mentioned that already) but I feel especially lucky when I can use photography to capture some great moments for good friends. Also, if I could bottle whatever it is that got all of these adorable little ones to look at me and smile at the same time, I’d be a millionaire. (If you are thinking about hiring me, you should start playing the, “I’m gonna get you game…” with your little people. It worked magic with this bunch and I’m sure it helped the adults as I know I probably looked funny running back and forth saying that…)
I love seeing the love when extended family comes together. It was clear that this family truly enjoyed their time together. Some of the kids even helped me take the pictures!
Just a little peek at an incredibly adorable little lady. As you can see, she is just a joy to be around! And her mom made the navy and pink dress, it was amazing (I actually found out she made it when I asked where she bought it!) 🙂
I absolutely love photographing families. Especially when I get to go to the family home on Lake Michigan, where everyone has been playing and spending time together. And the grandkids want to jump in on their grandparents photos. So much fun. Even when it rains a little. 🙂
It’s funny how when you start out in photography, you take a lot of pictures of your family. And now that I’ve been doing this for a while, my poor family sometimes ends up having to wait a month or so for me to have time to edit their photos, bad Aunt, seriously. But I’m going to fix that, along with everything else I need to fix! Here are a few of two of my sweet nephews and then my brother and his extended family (I got to shoot at Purdue for those, where we found out that they had removed the concrete he had so lovingly put his name in 20 years ago 🙁 ) Here’s to editing more quickly next time for the ones I love!!
Just a few from a beautiful morning.
There will be photos of our trip to Hawaii, someday, after I catch up on blogging client photos…
But for now here are a few of our best friends (and seeing these two little ones was
actually Maura’s wish!). I was lucky enough to squeeze in a quick session with them before they head back to the mainland permanently too. Hawaii is incredible, these have no editing, minus a bit of sharpening. The light, the colors, everything is just incredible.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Maccoux!
I got to spend this past Monday morning with the sweetest mother/daughter pair. I think the photos will show their bond better than any words I can come up with. It was delightful.
I didn’t realize how much the end of the school year slows down my blog until I logged in to get caught up today!
This family was such a joy to photograph, I kind of wanted to stay up in Door County and hang out with them all day. So happy, warm, and inviting. I hope you guys had a great week of relaxation and sunshine 🙂
